How long does it take to build a new home?

Everyone is keen to get into their new home as soon as they can, but all good things take time.

If you sign up for a standard design home the build time can be fairly fast, about 22 weeks for a low set and about 32 weeks for a high set home.

Building can take a little longer for a couple of changes to the standard design, but it will be worth the wait!

Getting finance to buy or build a home can take a little longer these days so it’s a good idea to start shopping around for finance options as soon as you start shopping around for home designs.

Get all your paper work together and choose your financier so when you are ready to commit to a builder you are ready to put in your loan application.

If you decide to build with Madison Homes Qld you will only need to pay an initial preliminary deposit of  $3,300 for a lowest home and $4,400 for a high set home to get started which covers costs such as site inspection, preliminary drawings, plan changes, preliminary inquires with our certifier and soil tests.

Once final pricing is agreed and contracts signed you pay a deposit (less the deposit you’ve already paid) and then pay at different stages; when the slab is done, the frame is done, the home is enclosed, fixing and then a final payment.

This time frame will all be explained in detail to you before work starts.

What we are trying to give people is a high-quality home which represents good value for money but will also stand the test of time.
